Wash & Care Guide

Curly hair washing routine

Washing curly hair is not about washing as often as straight hair. Over‑washing strips away natural sebum, leads to dry, brittle curls. The goal is clean scalp while preserving hair moisture.

How Often Should You Wash Curly Hair

  • 2A‑2C: Every 3‑5 days
  • 3A‑3C: Every 4‑7 days
  • 4A‑4B / 4C: Every 7‑10 days

Adjust based on sweat, scalp oil and product buildup. You do NOT need to wash every single day.

Deep conditioning hair mask

Correct Washing Steps

  1. Wet hair thoroughly with warm‑not hot‑water. Hot water damages hair cuticle.
  2. Shampoo only your scalp. Do not rub shampoo harshly onto hair lengths. Let shampoo run down hair when rinsing.
  3. Rinse scalp completely until no shampoo residue remains.
  4. Apply conditioner from mid‑length to ends. Avoid heavy conditioner directly on scalp.
  5. Let conditioner sit 3‑5 minutes, then rinse with cool water to close cuticles.

Deep Conditioning Mask Usage

Deep mask delivers intense nourishment for dry curly hair.

  • Use after shampoo, before regular conditioner.
  • Leave 10‑20 minutes.
  • Frequency: Once every 1‑2 weeks. Do not over‑use, or it may cause soft, limp curls.

Common Warning: Avoid Over‑Washing

Frequent washing removes your scalp’s natural protective oil. Your curls will become drier, more frizzy, harder to define. Stick to your suitable washing cycle for healthier natural curls.
